One of the cons of the Tapco brake is that it needs to be adjusted frequently. Though I find it overall to be a bit more efficient than the Vanmark if set up well, the Vanmark rarely needs adjusting. I went 17 years without adjusting my Vanmark brake and it bent straight as an arrow through that time. Some have suggested using locktite on the adjustment screws, but I’d rather not as I can’t see anywhere that you should use it. I keep the 4” x 12” pieces of aluminum right above the brake and quic

I posted a video on how to adjust a Vanmark brake yesterday. Here’s a quick video showing how to adjust the Tapco Pro19 brake. It should only take a couple of minutes to get the brake adjusted well. I’ve found that Tapco has to be adjusted more frequently than a Vanmark.
